Rivertown Theatre is open to theater lovers again at last. In this production, Mrs. Marie Macalusa likes British murder mysteries but can’t understand what they’re saying! So, she has written her own murder mystery in the style of an old radio show, where the characters are from New Orleans and talk that way! With the help of her neighbors, she’s doing a broadcast (staged reading) of her Meemaw Mystery Theatre from her converted carport on Barataria Blvd.
This week’s episode is Hercules Pirogue And The Case Of The Jambalaya Liar. It’s a wacky local take on the Agatha Christie character and stories and look for some homegrown commercial parodies.
