To coincide with Satchmo Summerfest, Louisiana Children’s Museum invites kids & families to celebrate New Orleans’ most beloved native son, trumpet player Louis Armstrong. Visitors can make musical instruments from recycled materials, listen to storytimes about Armstrong’s life, and hear live jazz inspired by “Satchmo” and learn about the history of the trumpet with Troy Sawyer and the Elementz. lcm.org
